“Inn
Trouble ” not worth the trouble
Inn Trouble,
a movie directed in 1996 by newcomer Christina Rey, is definitely
eye-candy, ladies. You won't find any better looking women than
you'll see in this movie! But that's about all you'll find enjoyable.
The 92-minute comedy about an inn proprietor who wills her bed-and-breakfast
to former employees and customers is 92 minutes of agony. The plotless
movie starts off at a crawl, moves up to "slow," and
stays in that gear the duration of the film.
The two lead characters, Sofi and
Chris, are marginally good; Sofi being the more mature, redeeming
lesbian of the entire group. The mishmash of supporting characters
are completely forgettable and quite undefined. I found myself
wondering who some of these women were and what they were doing
in the movie other than walking in and out of doors. The exception
was the character of Amy, a young, tough little baby butch. She
definitely had some angst going on, and it was enjoyable watching
her portray such a rough-edged character.
Overall, if you have nothing else
to do but spent a couple hours looking at some nice women, Inn
Trouble would be the movie to watch. Otherwise, skip it.
